Dubai is the easiest international visa for Indians — typically processed in 3–5 working days, no interview, no embassy visit. But within "Dubai visa" there are actually four distinct options, and picking the wrong one wastes money or limits your stay.

Here's what each visa type really gets you, what ICP (Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security) needs from you, and how we process it through Aleef Travel.

The four Dubai tourist visa types

1. 30-Day Single Entry

The default tourist visa. One entry into UAE, up to 30 days continuous stay. Extendable in Dubai for another 30 days. Best for most leisure travellers.

2. 60-Day Single Entry

Same as 30-day but with double the stay window. Worth the extra fee if you're visiting family or planning an extended holiday.

3. 30-Day Multiple Entry

Multiple entries within 60 days from issue. Each stay capped at 30 days. Ideal if you're hopping between UAE and a neighbouring country.

4. 5-Year Multi-Entry Visa

Frequent-traveller visa — multiple entries over 5 years, each stay up to 90 days. Strict eligibility (typically requires past UAE travel history). Subject to ICP discretion.

Documents required

Dubai's document list is refreshingly short compared to Singapore or Schengen:

  • Scanned colour copy of passport (first & last page) — minimum 6 months validity
  • Passport-size photograph with white background
  • Confirmed return flight ticket
  • Hotel booking confirmation
  • Travel insurance (mandatory for 60-day and multi-entry)

Note: ICP does not require bank statements, ITR or employment letters for standard tourist visas.

Processing time and timeline

  • Standard: 3–5 working days
  • Express: 24–48 hours (premium fee)
  • Visa validity from issue date: 60 days (you must enter UAE within this window)

How to extend your Dubai visa

If you decide mid-trip to stay longer, most tourist visas can be extended once for an additional 30 days through ICP's online portal. The extension fee is paid in AED and processed within 24 hours. Overstaying without extension carries a daily fine — don't risk it.

Common rejection reasons

  • Passport with less than 6 months validity
  • Previous overstay in UAE on a past visa
  • Mismatched name/spelling between passport and application
  • Photo not meeting white-background spec

If your application is rejected, the embassy fee is non-refundable. Aleef Travel pre-verifies every file before submission to minimise this risk.
